BEAM is a mentor program that matched adults with children on a one-to-one basis in the Blue Earth Area. The children are ages 6 to 17 years old. Mentors meet with their “mentees” once a week for a least one year.

The mission of the Faribault County Historical Society is to collect, preserve and disseminate the history of Faribault County.Properties include – the James B. Wakefield House; Etta C. Ross Library Museum and Church of the Good Shepherd Episcopal in the City of Blue Earth. Buildings located at the Faribault County Fairgrounds are the Woodland School, Krosch Log House, Guckeen Post Office, Antique Machinery Shed, blacksmith shop, West Delavan Lutheran Church and the Country Store.

Women of Worth of Faribault County shall be for the good and betterment of families of rural Southern Minnesota. Through continuing education about abuse, neglect and violence that takes place in the rural area, along with financial support of programs designed to help all victims of abuse.

The Daniel Boone Motor Trail Association was formed to help develop tourism along Highway 169 from the Iowa border to Mankato. Towns include: Elmore, Blue Earth, Winnebago, Amboy, Vernon Center, Garden City and Good Thunder as all these communities were along the original Daniel Boone Motor Trail.

The Faribault County Humane Society (FCHS) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization ran entirely by volunteers, and is located in Blue Earth, MN. FCHS is a no-kill shelter that also acts as the local animal impound. FCHS is aimed towards caring for and rehoming the lost, abandoned, & surrendered animals of our communities.


The Blue Earth chamber is a not-for-profit organization, supported mainly by private membership investments. The chamber is made up of businesses, professionals and other civic-minded citizens united to promote a favorable business climate for its members and a healthy community.
