MinnesotanThe Blue Earth Town & Country Players will be holding auditions for their 2014 Christmas Dinner Theater production of “How to Talk Minnesotan – the Winter Show” on Saturday and Sunday, October 11 and 12, from 1-3 pm, in the Blue Earth Area Middle School Music room, enter through Door R on Sixth Street.

The show takes theater-goers back to the Lost Walleye Lodge for more fun with owners/proprietors Ed and Lucy Humde, their daughter Darlene, her boyfriend Russ, musicians Donny and Miller and several of their friends and acquaintances, as everyone in and around the Lodge braces for a good old- fashioned winter storm.

Lucy will continue the Minnesota Language Lessons she first presented to local audiences in the 2009 summer production of “How to Talk Minnesotan,” and along with Ed and the rest of the gang will air another batch of ads from several local sponsors.

The winter show is based on the book How to Talk Minnesotan by Howard Mohr, who then adapted it for the stage. Music is by Drew Jansen, with lyrics by Drew Jansen and Howard Mohr. Parts are available for men and women and it’s a pretty sure thing that a “good time will be had by all, don’t ya know!”
