Giant Days 2017

Blue Earth’s Giant Days Celebration is being held Friday-Sunday, July 7-9, 2017. 

Friday, July 7th 

Giant Days Customer Appreciation Kick Off – Juba’s Food Stand (corner of 7th and Main) – Hosted by BEVCOMM and First Bank Blue Earth – serving hot dogs, chips, root beer floats, 11 am – 1 pm


Giant Days Ladies Night at Becki Steier Studio, 110 North Main St, 6-8 pm – Wine Tasting plus LuLaRoe Clothing and LipSense, 10% off Gallery Art

Friday Night – Party with the Giant at Giant Park
Food Vendors on site beginning at 5 pm
Sprout Kids 1 Mile Run 6:30 pm- for more information on the kid’s run, click here.
KBEW Dance DJ’s (sponsored by Anderson Electric) – Music and Games 7 – 9:30 pm
Fireworks – shot off at dusk, east of the high school (sponsored by BEVCOMM and First Bank Blue Earth)

Blue Earth Eagles Club Karaoke and Beer Garden – 8:30 – midnight at the Faribault County Fairgrounds

Saturday, July 8th 

KBEW Giant Days Bike Ride  – leaving from the Faribault County Fairgrounds at 7 am, 2 different routes with a stop in Huntley for breakfast, contact KBEW for more information – 507-526-2181.

Trinity Ladies Bake Sale – Trinity Food Stand at the Faribault County Fairgrounds – 7:30 am until gone!

Classic Car Show – Faribault County Fairgrounds 10 am – 3:30 pm

Faribault County Historical Society – Pie & Ice Cream Social and Pork Chop Meal – 11 am – 2 pm Veterans Memorial Building at the Faribault County Fairgrounds- menu includes pork chop, coleslaw, baked beans, pie & ice cream, lemonade and coffee, free will offering with proceeds going to “Cozy up the Cabin”

Pack 33 Pinewood Derby Races – check in is from 8:30 – 10 am with races starting at 10:30 am. $5 per car, no limits on the amount of entries. With 5 different classes for ages 0-adult, everyone is welcome to enter. Trophies are given out in all classes as well as an award for most unique. Co-Ed Volleyball Tournament – $60/team, register by July 5, tourney will start between 8 & 9 am on Saturday July 8th on the volleyball courts behind the Faribault County Fitness Center, contact Jammie at 507-525-0204 or Julia at 507-525-4418

Children’s ID Event (hosted by Thrivent Financial) 10 am – 2 pm at 216 North Main Street – Bring your children, important medical information, a photo ID and emergency contact list to this event. Professionals will finger print and photography your children and consolidate all information onto a single laminated card for each child. BEAM will also be on hand serving ice cream for a free will donation, with proceeds going to support Blue Earth Area Mentors.

Bob Kutsi Memorial Golf Tournament – 2 Man Ryder Cup – Riverside Town & Country Club

Garden Tours – 10 am and 1 pm – starting at Twisted Vine Floral on south Highway 169 near the Ag Center

Crazy Hair, Face Painting, Games, Vendors, Merchant Sales, Petting Zoo – Main Street 9 am – 3 pm 

Food Vendors – Main Street – 9 am – 6 pm

Giant Run 3:15 pm – The run will start and finish at First Bank Blue Earth on Main Street. For additional information on the run, click here. 

GIANT PARADE – 5 pm (Ramsey to 14th, 14th to Main, Main to 1st St) to register for the parade click here. 

Street Dance (sponsored by the Blue Earth Eagles) – featuring “Guilty Pleasures” beginning at 8:30 pm at the Veterans Memorial Building at the Faribault County Fairgrounds, $5 cover charge  

Sunday, July 9th 

Riverside Town & Country Club Brunch Buffet – all are welcome, beginning at 9:30 am
