Bucs 4 Hope

bucs-4-hopeYou may have never heard of something called “Bucs 4 Hope” and for good reason. It’s brand new. This special fund is being started by a small group of local people and is spearheaded by Dawn Kennedy and her sons. However this cancer fundraiser has a twist. It is not raising money to battle cancer or find a cure. Instead it will be used locally to help family members as a loved one goes through cancer treatment or any other kind of major illness. Money raised will go to help with gas, food, lodging, even insurance co-pays. The kick off fundraiser for this group will be with t-shirt sales. There was several different t-shirt designs and colors, depending on what kind of cancer or illness has affected you or your family. The goal is to have everyone wear their shirts for the October 14th home Buccaneer football game, aka the “Crush Cancer” game. In order for the shirts to be worn at that game, orders are due by September 30. The shirts will be $15 and can be ordered at the BEA School Offices or at Heartland Embroidery.
