Blue Earth Valley Quilters Meeting

The Blue Earth Valley Quilters will hold the seventh meeting of the 2018-2019.

April 15, 2019, at 7:00
Blue Earth Area High School Choir Room. (Please enter through Door V on the south side of the building.)

After introductions, we will begin with show-and-tell, which is always an inspiring part of the meeting! There will be an introduction to the seventh block in the Eureka! block-of-the-month group. The quilt-along group working on the “4 x 5 Quilt” has met monthly – but there is plenty of time for new members to join the group. The main attraction will be the Spring Trash-to-Cash, where members bring in books, fabric, and quilting notions that they no longer use, and offer them for other quilters to buy. All proceeds go to fund the speaker for the 2019 EXPO.

The Blue Earth Valley Quilters meet on the third Monday of each month (no meeting in July or December) under the umbrella of Blue Earth Area Community Education. Each meeting consists of a brief welcome and introductions, a quilt related demonstration, show and tell, a question and answer session and a few minutes to talk with other quilters. Those who are interested may stay after the meeting for the Block-of-the-Month project. The Blue Earth Valley Quilters has been referred to as a guild without all the rules, a quilt discussion group, or a mini-class in quilting – it is open to everyone who enjoys quilts or quilting – quilters of all skill levels are welcome! Announcements and photos can be found on Facebook under the group name Blue Earth Valley Quilters. For more information contact Mike Ellingsen at 507.526.5808.
